MESSAGE FROM THE CONVENER
Dear Co-Creator of A Better World, Today, we seem to live in a world that fixates more on crisis and less on solutions. We will have to admit that the old paradigm for social and economic systems is collapsing, and with this collapse, our world is presenting us with one of the greatest opportunities to lend our voices to tangible solutions. Join me, for a moment, in envisioning a global, open, collaborative forum that will bring together leading-edge tools, and their operating stakeholders, in crafting a new paradigm of sustainable development on the issues of women empowerment. This is the conceptual basis of The FIRST LADIES FORUM & ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT SUMMIT. The Summit aims to catalyze an emergent partnership of citizens, businesses, organizations and governments, working together around the world, all year-round, most especially post COVID-19 global pandemic era, to consolidate on the nascent gains achieved so far by United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 and 5.

Dear Fellow Participant at the First Ladies Forum and Economic Development Summit Qatar 2025,
On behalf of the Board of Trustees of The AWHPI GLOBAL FOUNDATION, I am exceedingly delighted to welcome you to Doha, Qatar at the First Ladies Forum and Economic Development Summit, most especially with the successful and impactful of the just concluded Dubai First Ladies Forum and Economic Development Summit 2022, 2023, 2024, and the African First Ladies Edition.
As an international forum for the comprehensive evaluation of the socio-economic, political and intellectual development of women in the new millennium, this Summit is conceptualized to touch on key subjects that contemporarily describe the status of women.
Indeed, it is our sincere hope that, with the inauguration, this year, of this Global Summit in Qatar, it will continue to serve as a magnet to attract concerted and committed effort on the part of all concerned for the continued social emancipation, economic development and general well-being of women all over the world.

One of the pre-eminent objectives of the AWHPI Global Foundation is to consistently celebrate whatever strides that have been achieved in the march of women towards sustainable accomplishments and advancements on the global corporate and political turfs, and to showcase such achievements by the presentation of the Annual G-9 Global Icon Awards, to serve as veritable motivation for women to continue to progress satisfactorily on all fronts on the global terrain. This is the place to be, join us for more discussion on Power of Women Redefined: An impetus to the Advancement of Gender Equality and Sustainable Global Goals and Impact. To this end, this year’s Summit will culminate in an auspicious crescendo with the conferment of The G-9 Global Icon Awards, in different categories of accomplishment, at a special gala night event on April 23rd, 2025 on NINE women who have proved their mettle in different fields of human endeavour. Ultimately, the aim is to celebrate the excellence of these women, and to place their virtues and achievements on a pedestal that is sufficiently conspicuous for other women to emulate as a veritable source of inspiration and motivation.
These are the CRITERIA for nomination, selection and eventual CONFERMENT of the award:
- Women of integrity and influence who have helped shape events in the world in the past twenty years.
- Women who have manifested an indomitable spirit in the face of daunting challenges.
- Women who have dared to breach sex discriminatory barriers to make their faces seen and voices heard.
- Women who have taken their destinies in their own hands, encouraging others to do the same, thereby nurturing and encouraging other women to bring forth the highest potentials within them.
- Women who serve as mentors to others, coaching them to become the best that they can be.
- Women who have dared to tread the unbeaten path in various fields of human endeavour, blazing a trail for the contemporary woman to follow.
- Women who have demonstrated greatness and nobility of spirit, affording them the compassionate inclination of reaching out to others and making a difference in their lives, rather than focusing on their own needs alone.

Members of the AWHPI Global Foundation are convening in the beautiful city of Doha, Qatar from April 22nd – 25th for the FIRST LADIES FORUM AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT SUMMIT. The First Ladies Forum and Economic Development Summit 2025, in Qatar, is not just an awards Honors but also a platform that brings together businesses, governments and organizations across the globe in the same environment to deliberate and recommend solutions to enhancing their different communities, especially in Africa
Our mission is to educate, elevate, empower and impact women entrepreneurs who are on the cutting edge of success but need a little more support to turn the corner. The Summit desires to raise enough funding to offer scholarships and funding to enable potential entrepreneurs to attend conferences conducted and created by affluent men and women around the nation and even globally. The event is a high-level global forum that combines keynote presentations, roundtables discussions with growth strategies, book launching, live arts and entertainment sessions, musical concert, and networking receptions to facilitate effective partnership.
